THE ANNUAL SA Top 300 National Companies awards have just been announced.
In the list of winners is Spoornet - awarded a National Platinum Edition and a Top 300 Companies certificate - for leadership and innovation in its business sector for the year 2000.
In the past year, Spoornet has increased its focus on its core business - freight logistics solutions, according to CEO Zandile Jakavula.
I believe that the strategies we put in place have been successful, he said, and that Spoornet will, in the future, stay in the black.
The following businessmen are also among those who will receive the award in March: Graham Power of Power Group; Machudu Ramano of African Harvest; Honey Mateya of Metrorail; and Sizwe Nxasana from Telkom.
