THERE'S A new multi-purpose option on the Durban - Port Louis route with the return of the 2554mt Shearwater to the Indian Ocean Island trade.
Managed by Durban-based Keeley Granite, previously known as Tern Shipping, the Shearwater operated a regular breakbulk and container service between Durban and Seychelles between 1994 and 1999. It has for the past 15 months been on time charter in the Persian Gulf.
Although the vessel is gearless, suitable crane facilities will be arranged at both ports.
We are offering competitive freight rates for breakbulk cargoes, Keeley Granite's Yogan Govender told FTW.
