IGNAZIO MESSINA Line has added Maputo to its northbound schedule from South Africa to the Mediterranean.
Initially the line will call every 28 days, offering shippers in Gauteng,
Mpumalanga and Northern Province a more convenient and speedier option to East Africa, Red Sea, Middle East and the Mediterranean, says owner's representative Captain Roberto del Vecchio
The line deploys ro-ro vessels on the service, offering containerised and breakbulk capacity.
Direct calls include Mombasa (transit time 4 days); Jeddah (9 days); Marseilles (18 days); Genova (19 days) and Naples (24 days).
