WHEN GROUPAGE operator CFR FREIGHT celebrated its 10th Anniversary in South Africa recently, managing director Uli Hatesohl decided to reverse customary birthday tradition and hand over a substantial gift to his charity of choice.
"Instead of pulling out all the stops and hosting
an extravagant party to celebrate this milestone event, we chose to hand over a R50 000 birthday present to Autism South Africa," said Hatesohl.
National representatives of the organisation, Jeneatta Moreton and Jill Stacey were delighted with the unexpected largesse. "Due to the visual invisibility of this disorder, all too often it seems to be overlooked
in favour of the more visually emotive disabilities. This exceptionally generous donation means so very much to our organisation," they told FTW.
