Passing on 26 years of expertise
A ‘ONE-STOP’ export service has been introduced by AG Morris International at its branches in Cape Town, Durban and Johannesburg.
Over the past 26 years the company has acquired a great deal of exporting know-how and is perfectly poised to pass this on to clients, according to Darin Weitsz of the Cape operation
“We are not out to store goods for clients but rather offer a complete service which would include palletising and crating (if necessary), packing containers and handling documentation, in other words a complete service from start to finish,” he explains. This same service would apply in reverse for destuffing imports and distribution.
Director David Betheldo points out that the company has an 1 800m2 warehouse with areas set aside for bonded warehousing, as well as temperature-controlled sections for storing wine, near the Mother City in Paarden Island. The new service will also be offered from its 500m2 airfreight division in Johannesburg and 2000m2 warehouse in Durban.
It specialises in exporting foodstuffs, wine and hotel requisites to countries in east and west Africa, south-east Asia and the Indian Ocean islands while a separate division in PE manufactures medical goods like sutures. It has obtained the KWV agency to export wine to certain countries.
AG Morris International’s Darin Weitsz, left, and David Betheldo in their boardroom filled with a colourful variety of an exotic mix of South African exports destined for African and other consumers in remote parts.
