Decision to be made at AGM

A RESTRUCTURING is planned for the SA Association of Freight Forwarders (SAAFF), which still plays a vital role representing the interests of the clearing and forwarding community, according to Peter Krafft, MD of Ršhlig Grindrod, and former association chairman.
“It does have a purpose,” he told FTW, “not so much on local issues, but more on a national and international basis.
“Like any other association worldwide, you need to move with the times.”
The association is now too much for one man, Krafft added, and basically needs two to split the task.
“It needs restructuring, and we are looking for a new way forward,” he said.
This will be the main item on the agenda for the end-April annual conference.
“Ideas have been put forward by some of the major members and these will be presented and discussed at the conference.”
