The ocean carrier Maersk Line has converted its FEW1 Asia-to-West Africa service into a West Africa feeder based on its Southeast Asian hubs at Singapore and Tanjung Pelepas, Malaysia, reports American Shipper.
Previously, the FEW1 linked China and Hong Kong directly with Lome and Cotonou in West Africa, but Maersk has dropped the East Asia calls in Ningbo, Fuqing, Nansha, and Hong Kong.
