My client is seeking a Support Specialist to join their team, lending first line support and guidance to their clients (freight forwarding and Customs clearing agents)
The ideal candidates need to have proven prior multimodal (air & sea) Clearing & Forwarding Controller experience, with a strong aptitude for systems, processes, and investigating detailed scenarios
Capabilities & Competencies:
Knowledge and understanding of the Clearing & Forwarding industry, including all facets of typical import and export process flows
Knowledge of pricing principles and methodology, including INCO Terms
Understands and applies commercial and financial principles, specifically as it pertains to shipment profit & loss
Proven track record of end-to-end process execution
Must have experience in both Imports and Exports, handling shipments from A – Z, including estimates, invoicing, cost accruals and disbursement management
Above average verbal and written communication skills, with a strong preference for bilingual (English & Afrikaans) proficiency
