SAFMARINE last week took delivery of the third in a series of panamax containerships to be delivered by Hyundai Heavy Industries – the Safmarine Mafadi. She will enter the Safari service between Asia and Southern Africa on May 12. (See page 4). The 4154 TEU vessel takes her name from the 3450m Mafadi Peak in the Drakensberg, the highest point in South Africa.
