Gale reappointed EWC Chairman

Exporters Western Cape (EWC) has reappointed Terry Gale as Chairman for the 2026/27 year and Deon Theron has been appointed Vice-Chairman.

The appointments were confirmed at the organisation’s 47th annual general meeting on Thursday, September 10.

Kevin Melnick was also appointed to the EWC Committee following the resignations of Jake Botha and Gavin Strydom.

Gale said exporters are operating in an increasingly complex and unpredictable global environment.

“Organisations such as EWC have an important role to play in bringing people together, sharing knowledge and ensuring that the concerns of exporters are heard,” he said.

“The strength of EWC lies in its members and the willingness of people across the export community to support one another. We look forward to building on this foundation during the year ahead.”

EWC is a non-profit organisation established in 1979 to support and promote exporting in the Western Cape. It provides a platform for exporters and other trade stakeholders to engage on issues affecting export growth.
