Cross-border transporters frequenting South Africa’s Oshoek Border Post with Eswatini are advised that the crossing has apparently been temporarily closed because of a Covid case.
Details are limited and it’s not clear when the border on the N17 from South Africa towards Mbabane will open again.
Transit Assistance Bureau (Transist) has been asked to look into the matter.
*Transist replied at 13:45 this afternoon that according to its contacts at the SA Revenue Service, the border is open. It may be that the closure is experienced on the Eswatini side. Freight News will continue updating this story as information is received.
