The long-awaited QSE Scorecard for businesses with an annual revenue of
R10 million to R50 million has been gazetted for public comment. The scorecard will apply to all businesses that require a BEE Certificate after 30 April 2015.
The Johannesburg Chamber of Commerce and Industry has scheduled a seminar on November 26 to unpack the impact of the amended codes. “One of the biggest challenges for QSEs with no black ownership and no black top management is that they will not be able to get a better than Level 8 BEE compliance,” a JCCI spokesman said.
“There is still an opportunity to get a BEE Certificate based on the existing Codes, but there is no time to waste.”
