A NEW generation flexitank produced by the UK’s
Braid group has been launched in the SA market, and
specifically designed for the transport of wine and foodgrade
liquids, according to Kuban Naidoo of Cape Townbased
Braid Liquid Logistics.
“The Silvertank is specifically geared to the unique
characteristics of wine, keeping it in exceptionally good
condition even through adverse weather conditions and
temperature range – while still maintaining zero oxygen
transmission,” he told FTW .
“But it, and the other flexitank types in Braid’s range,
are also ideal for non-hazardous chemicals and speciality
oils.”
These units, with capacities ranging from 12 000 to
24 000-litres, can be readily disposed of or recycled,
Naidoo added.
The Braid flexitank system, manufactured in-house in
Asia and Europe, has a worldwide distribution network
– with Braid’s own offices in Europe, Asia, the Americas and
Australia, as well as over 60 exclusive agents globally.
“We have a truly global perspective, operational
disciplines and products, along with tailor-made designs
that can be engineered to meet specific customer
requirements,” said Naidoo. “The Braid products are diverse,
ranging from bottom discharge flexitanks to specialised
equipment with a foil barrier for cargo that is oxygen- or
moisture-sensitive. Insulation and heating systems are
available, as well as temperature-controlled applications for
products requiring special attention in transit.
