TERRY HUTSON NEWLY APPOINTED business partner to Compu-Clearing in Durban is Internal Management Consultants (IMC), which since 2002 has been contracted exclusively to Compu-Clearing Outsourcing offering modular fully integrated customs clearing systems to the freight forwarding and airline industries. “We’re no longer connected directly with Compu-Clearing but are now regarded as business partners,” said Ivan Carney, who has more than 25 years experience in the financial markets of which 12 were served as financial manager with one of the larger clearing and forwarding companies. “I’ve worked with the Compu-Clearing system since 2002, specifically the financial modules and client specific system development research and implementation. As IMC we are primarily a service provider to the clearing and forwarding industry in KwaZulu Natal that will study the systems clients are using and look for improvements – discovering synergies between the in-house systems in use and those of Compu-Clearing.” Joining Carney at IMC are two experienced Compu-Clearing men. Junaid Ali provides technical support backed by 15 years experience gained in hardware support, while Selvan Pillay has ten years in hardware support on the Compu-Clearing system. Ali also specialises in providing training and support for the import modules as well as assisting in software development for users, while Pillay provides training on the export modules and system development as well as on-site technical support for the Clearways system.
