18 South African aerospace and defence companies have put their products on display at the Latin America Aerospace and Defence (LAAD) trade fair currently under way in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
They are clearly hoping for a repeat of the success achieved in the 2015 LAAD exhibition which resulted in on-the-spot export sales amounting to R15 million - and R253 million six months after the event had ended, according to minister of trade and industry, Dr Rob Davies.
