An internet café which allegedly produced illegal and fake licence discs for unroadworthy vehicles was raided by the Road Traffic Management Corporation’s (RTMC) National Anti-Corruption Unit yesterday (Tuesday).
Authorities confiscated computers, fake bank statements and payslips as well as printers at the premises in central Johannesburg, and detained three suspects.
“The raids are part of a move to reduce corruption activities and the number of unroadworthy vehicles on our roads as a result of unlawful operations - ultimately improving road safety,” said an RTMC spokesperson.
