A TOTAL of 853 containers have been removed from the deck of the MSC Napoli which was grounded off the coast of Devon in January. Containers in sound condition and for which adequate salvage security has been lodged by cargo owners are to be shipped from Portland, UK to South Africa aboard the MSC Grace, according to an industry source. Clients requiring the shipment of salvaged containers who have not yet lodged the necessary guarantees must make immediate arrangements with their insurers in this regard.
