LUFTHANSA WILL be introducing a fourth weekly freight frequency in its alliance with SAA as from October, but there is no great deal of expectation of major increases in perishable traffic, says the airline's SA cargo manager Ulrich Ogiermann.
I foresee, at the most, somewhere between 5 and 10% increase, he says.

The producers and exporters here are confident of a market growth but I must admit being just that bit nervous about the situation as a whole.
Nevertheless we are proceeding with our normal planning for the next season, although we haven't finalised our plans at this stage. We are still researching what the likely eventual market value will be. The fourth freighter, a Boeing 747 will come into operation on a Thursday.
