THE GERMAN air carrier, Lufthansa Cargo, has moved beyond the airport-to-airport airline transportation concept, and has now added a global airport-to-door service to its
airfreight express service.
After a seven-month test run in
its core market, this new product
has been made available globally from May 1.
Lufthansa Cargo is offering the time-definite airport-to-door option on its td.Flash and Fresh/td (for perishables) service packages, allowing shipments to be transported and delivered direct to the consignee within a pre-specified time frame around the globe.
Said Harald EisenŠcher, senior vice-president for marketing at Lufthansa Cargo: "With this world-wide roll-out we are going beyond our airport-to-airport business in serving customer needs.
"This extension to the services will help to maintain our innovative lead."
