French shipping company, CMA CGM, has formed joint venture with PSA Singapore Terminals to operate and use four megaship berths in Singapore, according to a joint statement from the companies.
CMA CGM is aiming at expanding its operations in Asia’s top shipping hub after its takeover of Singapore’s Neptune Orient Lines (NOL).
The joint venture will start operations in the second half of this year at the newly expanded Pasir Panjang Terminal Phases 3 and 4.
PSA Singapore operates a total of 57 berths at its container terminals in Tanjong Pagar, Keppel, Brani and Pasir Panjang. They operate as one seamless and integrated facility.
