logistics software provider Easyclear
now offers a
document portal
and real-time
tracking modules.
“In addition
to this we
also provide a
management
dashboard that
can be customdesigned
according to
the client’s needs,” said Easyclear
general manager, Michael
Henning.
He commented that technology
drove innovation and allowed
Easyclear to provide data to its clients
in record time on mobile devices.
“We have also
seen an increase
in requests to
provide custom
integration for
the seamless
exchange of data
between systems,”
he said.
He told FTW
that clearing
and forwarding
agents were increasingly looking to
provide a comprehensive logistics
solution, providing opportunities
for Easyclear to provide supporting
technology to ensure a seamless
supply chain.
Leveraging technology through
tracking, for example, is a key way to
keep logistics costs down – a key pain
point for all businesses, he said.
“We manage to keep our own
overheads low through strategic
use of technology, which translates
into value and cost-savings for our
customers as well,” said Henning. He
explained that in the past software
updates had to be distributed in the
field by technicians who would drive
to each client with the update on a
disc or memory stick. “Now these can
be distributed via the internet in a
matter of minutes.
