KEMPTON PARK-based Aviation GSA International has been appointed by Ghana Airways to handle its cargo to and from West Africa.
The airline flies twice weekly into Accra using DC10 aircraft. The Wednesday flight has capacity for 12 000 kg, the Sunday flight for 8 000 kg. Other destinations served by the airline from Accra include Abidjan, Banjul, Benin, Conakry, Cotonou, Darak, Freetown, Gambia, Guinea, Ivory Coast, Lome, Senegal, Sierra Leone and Togo.
Cargo on the route ranges from machinery, mining and electrical equipment to printed matter, medical supplies and perishables, according to Aviation GSA m.d. Ted Mayne.
