The first phase of the revitalised Seshego Industrial Park in Polokwane will be officially launched on Thursday, July 28, by the Department of Trade and Industry (dti).
The revitalisation of Seshego Industrial Park is part of a total R189 million invested in covering six prioritised parks under the dti’s Industrial Parks Revitalisation Programme (IPRP).
“The dti has recognised that industrial parks have the capacity to serve as catalysts for broader economic and industrial development,” said Dr Rob Davies, minister of trade and industry.
“We would like to see them contributing to economic growth, diversification of economic activity, attracting investments to the areas they are located in, job creation and addressing the problem of inequality.”
According to the dti, R21 million was spent on the first phase of the Seshego Industrial Park’s revitalisation project.
