Operations are slow at the Beitbridge border between South Africa and Zimbabwe this morning, Mike Fitzmaurice of the Federation of East and Southern African Road Transport Associations has said.
According to Fitzmaurice, trucks are queuing on the South African side of the border towards the weighbridge.
It has been reported that 42 trucks are queueing from the border entrance to the Gateway entrance and that 41 trucks are waiting in line towards the weighbridge. No truck queues have been reported from the weighbridge entrance towards Musina.
“There are no real issues to report at this stage, just that operations seem to be slow this morning. Border staff are aware of the trucks queuing and are working towards reducing the backlog,” said Fitzmaurice.
