The role of Sector Education and Training Authorities in navigating the future of work will come under the spotlight during a webinar on March 28.
According to the Cape Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the webinar will be an ideal opportunity for participants to engage with the Manufacturing, Engineering, and Related Services Seta (Merseta) as well as Transport Education Training Authority (Teta).
The Setas will share information on work skills planning data, sector skills identified as scarce in the labour market, processes and timeframes for the year ahead, and what each Seta proposes to do to create alignment between themselves, educational institutions and employers.
Speakers confirmed for the webinar are Tembelani Blouw and Malcolm Alexander, respectively the client liaison officer for Merseta, and Teta’s education, training and development practitioner.
The event on March 28 runs from 09:00 to 11:30.
