AS PART of its social responsibility
programme in Namibia, Maersk has
entered into an agreement with the
Mondesa Youth O rganisation based in
Swakopmund to supply containers for new
premises.
“The A.P Møller - Maersk Group’s
objective in sub-Saharan Africa is
specifically to address education needs,”
says Namibian MD D avid Williams.
The Mondesa Youth O rganisation
selects young students who show
potential and provides additional classes
(after the normal school day) in maths
and English as well as life skills. “We look
forward to developing a partnership with
MYO and ensuring staff involvement with
the preparation of the new site”.
