Anti-dumping 'Sunset' Review Ð 3 May 2002
The Board on Tariffs and Trade (Board) initiated a sunset review of the anti-dumping duties on clear float glass in sheets, of a thickness exceeding 2.5mm, but not exceeding 3mm (excluding optical glass) classifiable under tariff subheading 7005.29. The countries involved are Singapore and Thailand. The Board requested the Southern African Customs Union (SACU) manufacturers to respond and submit information by 11 June 2002.
Importers and exporters need only to respond by completing a questionnaire if the SACU manufacturers indicate that the expiry of the duty would be likely to lead to the recurrence of dumping and material injury. It is suggested that importers, exporters, agents and other interested parties involved in the product ensure that the Board is aware of their contact details.
