ZIM Integrated Shipping Services will, in May next year, take delivery of a 5 500-TEU newbuilding on a seven-year time charter.
The news comes after Danish shipowning company Ocean Yield announced the purchase of the vessel, which will be a sister ship to the newbuilding announced in June. Its design will enable it to be converted to dual fuel operation with methanol as fuel.
The ship-owning company focuses on investments in vessels on long-term charters.
