Zimbabwe’s government has eased visa restrictions on 29 countries as part of its efforts to improve the country's accessibility in order to boost economic growth.
Clement Masango, a principal director for immigration, said the development was expected to promote tourism, trade and investment.
He explained in a statement that the new visa regime had three categories: Group A which did not require visas, Group B where visitors applied for visas on entry and Group C in which visas were obtained before travel.
"With immediate effect, the Zimbabwe government has revised our visa regime and 29 countries have been moved from group C to group B," he said.
Currently, most Southern African Development Community (SADC) countries do not need a visa to enter Zimbabwe.
