On 26 October 2022, the World Trade Organization (WTO) released the latest edition of its Trade Profiles, which is an annual publication providing key data on merchandise trade and trade in commercial services for 197 economies. Each profile displays a sectoral breakdown of the economy’s exports and imports, its main trading partners and its most traded products and services.
For merchandise trade, top exports and imports are listed for both agricultural and non-agricultural products. For trade-in services, data is provided for transport, travel and other commercial services. Foreign Affiliate Statistics (FATS) and statistics on intellectual property are also provided.
The profiles are available for all WTO members and observers and other selected economies. With each profile presented in a handy two-page format, the publication provides a concise overview of global trade.
Additional data are available through the WTO statistics webpage, the WTO Stats Portal and the WTO Stats Dashboard, a data visualisation tool that provides graphical representations of many datasets found in Trade Profiles.
Short-term trade data is also available through the WTO Stats Portal and direct downloads of annual time series data on merchandise and commercial services trade.
