The Western Cape is continuing to attract international manufacturers to its shores, having recently welcomed Czech-headquartered PF Nonwovens to the province.One of the leading global producers of nonwovens for use in the personal hygiene market such as baby diapers, the company has invested more R1 billion in a new factory in the Atlantis area.According to James Milne, Wesgro head of investment promotion, this is an important development for the Cape.“Manufacturers choose the Western Cape for important factors such as access to market – and this includes the South African market as well as the rest of the African continent.”Access to skills and talent andsophisticated infrastructure also play a significant role, he adds.
