Unemployment Insurance Fund (UIF) commissioner, Teboho Maruping, will host an employer seminar for the road freight sector in the eThekwini Metropolitan Municipality on September 10.
The department said in a statement that it would provide delegates with the latest updates on UIF technological developments, and the importance of compliance with the Unemployment Insurance Act and the Compensation for Occupational Injuries and Diseases Act.
Sessions will also focus on the role of the public employment services branch in the department of employment and labour, the labour activation programme, inspection and enforcement services, and the National Minimum Wage Act.
The seminar will take place at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Umhlanga from 9am-1pm.
