Transnet National Ports Authority (TNPA) will be hosting national roadshows across the country in March aimed at securing potential B-BBEE-compliant port concession partners.
TNPA commercial & marketing general manager, Lauriette Sesoko, said the roadshows would educate the market and attract prospective partners with the aim of fostering transformation within the sector.
“The roadshows will acquaint potential bidders, interested parties and funders with the stringent requirements of bidding and participating in TNPA’s port concession projects,” she said. “These concessions see us transferring operating rights to a private enterprise for a specified period subject to the terms of the contract.”
According to Sesoko, representatives of TNPA’s new business development team will also be addressing queries and challenges that potential bidders may have experienced when responding to concession calls.
All roadshow sessions will start at 08h00 for 08h30 and end by 11h00. The dates and locations are as follows:
- Monday, 5 March at Richards Bay’s Premier Hotel, The Richards. RSVP by 1 March.
