A total of 3 967 people were arrested at the Beitbridge border post for violating immigration laws in December 2019, according to Zimbabwean publication, The Herald.
Most of the arrests were related to border jumping, failure to get a passport stamped, and traveling using stolen documents. It was also reported that 200 undocumented children were intercepted coming into South Africa from Zimbabwe with third parties between during the festive season period.
