Telecommunication has become one
of the fastest-growing sectors in the
Western Cape, offering businesses the
opportunity for growth, says Eddie
Kruger, Sebenza branch manager in
Cape Town.
Sebenza Forwarding and Shipping,
which began operating in 1997 as the
first black empowerment clearing and
forwarding company, has its own fleet of
vehicles and a warehousing facility that
caters for free and bonded storage in the
Western Cape.
“Opportunities for business growth
in the telecommunications industry
are positive because companies in
this sector are expecting growth
for 2009,” says Kruger. “For us at
Sebenza it is important to explore these
opportunities and pursue more business
in this industry as we already have the
experience to handle the work. We are
actively moving towards increasing
that business.”
According to Kruger, Sebenza has big
expectations for 2009, which include
company growth as well as growth in the
number of clients.
