A clearing agent has notified the Transit Assistance Bureau of intended systems maintenance at the South African Revenue Service (Sars) this Friday, October 1.
The maintenance will be conducted from 6-9pm.
It will affect declaration processing until 8pm, but road manifest processing will be affected for the full maintenance period, until 9pm.
The agent said stakeholders were therefore urged to submit priority goods declarations (bills of entry) and road manifests by 5pm on Friday, an hour before the maintenance work commences, to avoid any delays.
“Customs services will be available during maintenance at land border posts should you require any assistance,” the agent said.
