The Danish Energy Agency last week approved the sale of Maersk Oil to Total.
According to A P Møller-Maersk, the approval contains minimal conditions, including the requirement that Maersk assume secondary liability for the decommissioning of existing Danish offshore facilities related to Maersk Oil’s 31.2% interest in the Danish Underground Consortium.
Maersk expects the sale to be completed during the first quarter of 2018.
