SA recorded a trade deficit of R7.5-billion for its trade with non-Southern African Customs Union (non-SACU) trading partners in February, after a R13.5-bn deficit in January, according to customs and excise figures.
There was an increase in exports of R2.251-bn (4.2%) to R56.254-bn and a decrease in imports of R3.765-bn (5.6%) to R63.740-bn.
