The Western Cape Department of Roads and Transport is on track to complete the rehabilitation of a 7-km section of Annandale Road between the R44 and R310 in Stellenbosch.
This R122-million project started in November 2016 and was scheduled for completion early in 2019, said the provincial department’s spokesperson, Byron la Hoe.
The project includes the rehabilitation of the road and widening of surfaced shoulders. In addition, a new bridge is being constructed, improvements are being made to pedestrian areas near intersections, and stormwater infrastructure is being installed.
