Overall cargo volumes at the Port of Los Angeles saw an increase of 11% compared to this time last year.
This news makes May 2016 the busiest may in the port’s 109 year history.
Total volumes were recorded at 770.409 TEU’s.
“The strong growth both on the import and export side is encouraging as we continue to explore ways to improve supply chain efficiencies,” said Executive Director of the Port of Los Angeles, Gene Seroka.
