Revenues at Mozambican state rail and port management company Empresa Portos e Caminhos de Ferro de Moçambique (CFM) in 2011 rose 20% against the previous year and totalled 1.645 billion meticals, according to a report from Mozambiquan newspaper O País carried by macuahub.com.
The newspaper reported that the growth was due to increased handling business at Mozambiquan ports in 2011 of more than 19-million metric tons, as compared to 14-m in 2010; and transport of 7.2-m liquid tonnes, as compared to 5.2-m in 2010, which represents growth of 37.3%.
