Shipping lines are continuing their record run, with Orient Overseas Container Line (OOCL) announcing another set of impressive results – with total revenues up 52.4% to $5 285 million compared to the same period last year.
This was despite severe congestion around the network, which drove down liftings by 5.6% and loadable capacity by 6.1%, according to a statement just released.
The overall load factor was 0.5% higher, while overall average revenue per TEU increased by 61.5%.
For the first six months total revenues grew 61.0% and total liftings decreased by 7.4%. Loadable capacity decreased by 6.3% while the overall load factor was 1.1% lower than the same period in 2021. Average revenue per TEU increased by 74.0%.
