Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) managing director, Hadiza Bala Usman, this week called for speedy completion of all deep sea port projects in the country.
She pointed out that early completion would facilitate operational efficiency in Nigeria’s maritime system, make it easier to do business at the ports and facilitate trade in the sub-region.
Usman urged the country’s maritime stakeholders to fast-track navigational channels to accommodate larger vessels and to speed up processes that would allow for swift consideration and possible approval for the five-year renewal being sought by Lilypond Terminal at Ijora, Lagos.
