CFR Freight has launched a new air freight consolidation option from Atlanta, Chicago, Los Angeles and New York to Johannesburg. According to Chilton Corrigall, air freight route development coordinator, dedicated weekly services out of the USA to Johannesburg provide clients with an option to move freight efficiently and timeously while also accommodating the special requirements of many importers. “We have weekly consolidations from several other origins in the US, but this new premier offering is based on Cargolux and is main deck and much sought after in the market.” Corrigall said the outlook for this service was extremely positive. “The route is not without challenges. Rate fluctuation has been a concern as has limited capacity which has caused major delays in the movement of freight.”
