Following a year of “bold
decisions” – which included
the re-branding of Premier
Freight to Sasfin Premier
Logistics and a re-think
of some of the company’s
operations – the new “leaner
and keener” logistics company
has upped its game and is
ready for business.
“Following the 100%
acquisition by Sasfin of
Premier Freight in March
this year, we re-evaluated
what needed to be done to
maintain a competitive edge
in a rather cut-throat business
and we realised we needed
to work smarter so we could
deliver faster and more costeffectively
for our clients,”
Peter Ehrenreich, CEO
Sasfin Premier Logistics,
told industry partners at the
official launch party of the
newly branded company in
Johannesburg last week.
To meet that objective,
the company has become
more focused on imports
and has expanded its market
segmentation to include
a wide variety of goods,
including textiles, shoes and
seasonal items for small
business clients as well as
large corporations, said
Ehrenreich. “You name it,
we’ll ship it,” he added. He
pointed out that the company’s
association with Sasfin and its
partners had numerous
benefits for export and
import customers, offering
the entire spectrum of air
and surface supply chain
management as part of
a holistic supply chain
management solution.
According to
Ehrenreich, an added
attraction is that clients
can benefit from the
company’s partnership
with the Hong Kongbased
international
Hecny Group, which has
branches and partnerships
in 120 cities worldwide. In
addition, Sasfin Premier
Logistics holds a Sars (SA
Revenue Service) licence
to store uncleared goods
in bonded warehousing
near O R Tambo airport
in Johannesburg through
its association with the
Sasfin subsidiary, IQuad.
