French shipping major CMA CGM has signed an agreement for the acquisition of four Airbus A350F aircraft, adding muscle to its airfreight arm, CMA CGM AIR CARGO, which was launched in March this year.
The aircraft will complement its two Boeing 777s which are due to come online in spring.
According to a company spokesman, it will be the launch airline for the new aircraft, which is equipped with the latest technologies - in particular optimised fuel consumption.
“With a carrying capacity of more than 100 metric tons and a range of nearly 9 000 kilometres, the A350F will enable us to strengthen our long-haul offering.”
