Mpumalanga considers ‘dry port’ project

THE AUTHORITIES in Mpumalanga are willing to look at a feasibility study for a “dry port” in the province, according to the government’s director of economic development and planning.
Brenda Horne, executive director of the Maputo Corridor Logistics Initiative (MCLI), told FTW that Development Bank of SA funds were available for this study.
Horne saw this as an ideal project for the MCLI “shipping focus workgroup” – and it is to be discussed at the next meeting.
