A REGIONAL office opened by the Walvis
Bay Corridor Group (WBCG) in the Zambian
capital Lusaka is reducing transit times from
Walvis Bay along the Trans Caprivi Corridor.
Vichaya Nguluwe was appointed the
resident representative of the WBCG in Lusaka
in 2005 to kick-start operations. “It has been an
offer too challenging to neglect,” says Nguluwe.
Apart from actively seeking new business
opportunities, the WBCG, together with its
Zambian public sector partners, has managed
to secure the move of customs operations
from Livingstone to Katima Mulilo, allowing
for easier and smoother customs operations
and faster transport along the Trans Caprivi
Corridor.
