Lufthansa launches time definite option for pets

LUFTHANSA CARGO has become the first freight carrier worldwide to offer time-definite live animal transport services. The service was launched on July 1.
Live/td Service Package is an addition to the time-definite service range the airline started in 1998, and can be booked at all td.stations worldwide.
At the same time Lufthansa has announced that its decision to downscale operations on certain routes will not affect its daily flights out of South Africa. Northern hemisphere services are being curtailed because of the downturn in the world economy, but southbound flights from Frankfurt will continue as scheduled, said a Lufthansa spokesman.
