Lou Mulder, manager
of Safcor Panalpina's
Richards Bay office for
20 years, passed away last
month at the age of 56
following a long illness.
Mulder joined the
company in Richards
Bay in November 1988,
and was a caring and
compassionate manager
who treated all his staff
with respect and dignity.
Through his management
style, he was able to build
an effective team handling
difficult cargo.
During his time at this
branch, Mulder established
very good relationships
with clients moving cargo
through Richards Bay and
it was unusual to lose a
client due to bad service.
In fact, he ensured that
his branch's service levels
became the industry norm
in Richards Bay. He was
well liked by his peers in
Bidfreight and continually
sought to involve all
possible parties within
the Bidvest Group to
handle shipments through
Richards Bay.
He was a devoted family
man and leaves his wife
Sue and son Loutjie.
